It's finally Spring in Music City, and I'm sitting on my deck listening to Seth Philpott's Good Hearts EP. The positive vibes and choir on his song "Nothing Wrong" is floating through the sunny air in my backyard, and it's putting me in quite a good mood. I guess that's the power of great music!
Seth has perfectly crafted a collection of songs that have got a lot of heart and even more soul. He writes and sings introspective stories about love, heartbreak and second chances set to catchy pop rock choruses, old style southern rock arrangements, a hint of country and a lot of funk. Every song is unique, but they fit together perfectly as a whole. They would also seem to fit perfectly floating out of the speakers of radios across the country. "Make It Right" sure sounds like a huge radio hit to me!
Do your mood a favor and give Seth Philpott's Good Hearts EP a listen or maybe a couple of hundred listens. I can already tell this is going to be my soundtrack to Spring, and there ain't nothing wrong about that to me!
Cheers,
Johnny T
