In college a friend lent Dawson Wells a guitar so he could learn to play. In 2006 Dawson Wells released his full-length album "RE:RE: No Subject," co-produced by Butterfly Boucher, who also co-wrote and played on the album. I guess his friend deserves a huge thank you. Borrowing from some of the best pop influences of the last five decades, Wells has created a sound that can echoes back to glam/fashion-pop and punk, meanwhile never seems to stick to those styles. Combining the high energy of Bowie along with many other elements from pop icons, Dawson Wells has achieved a personality unmatching in today's independent scene.
