Music City Unsigned is honored to partner with the wonderful people at the Mocha Club. The idea is simple, for just $7 a month (or two mochas) anyone can make a difference in the lives of those in need. Easy right?! Our project with the Mocha Club will help to support their work in the fight against disease & poverty in Africa.
Quick Facts: Two major killers in Africa are HIV/AIDS and Malaria. Africa is home to 66% of the world's HIV/AIDS population. In some countries, 1 in every 3 people carries the AIDS virus. This translates to approximately 5,500 people dying every day from AIDS, leaving behind an aftermath of orphaned children and desperate economic instability. Malaria is responsible for as many as half the deaths of African children under the age of five. In Africa alone, this disease kills more than one million children a year - which translates to a shocking 2,800 per day.
