Brenn
Every now and then I come across an artist or band that reminds me how extremely fortunate Nashville is. Fortunate in that so many kinds of creative individuals are able to coexist and thrive in perfect harmony. You don't have to conform to a style to survive in this town, just be yourself and this city will welcome you with open arms.

One band I'm glad is calling Nashville home is the epic guitar-driven rock band Brenn. Made up of Joel Larabell, Johnny Gradone, Jeff Schuette and Nathan Hufford quartet has created a powerful sound so unmistakable that it is attracting attention from all over the country.

Combining dynamic synths, sharp, piercing guitar riffs and bold vocals, Brenn has been compared to such anthemic artists like Muse, U2 and Radiohead. Yet their talent for shaping such grandiose musical themes would also compare them to emotive acts Sigur Ros or M83. Brenn has an incredible ability of orchestration and instrumentation, making them a truly unique musical experience.

Brenn is currently getting their music heard by over 300 college radio stations across the country as well as being played on streaming music providers like Pandora. The band has also had the opportunity to perform not just for their fans in the US, but also abroad. On July 4, 2009 the band was invited to play for the US Armed Forces at two bases in Turkey.

Currently in the studio recording their first full-length record, Brenn hopes to release sometime in the Spring of 2010. They will also be hitting the road across the country and making a presence at festivals like SXSW and Red Gorilla, both in Austin, TX.

Keep a close watch on these guys. With a sound as large and energizing as theirs, it's easy to see there are plenty of great things to come for this band.
