Almost two years ago we created Music City Unsigned to support the independent musicians in our community, and we continue to be overwhelmed by the outpouring of kind words for the hard work and passion that goes into this ever-growing music venture.

When we put up our current site last April, we added a "Causes" section. We find that creative individuals are passionate about more than their art, and one of those passions is typically serving others. (OK. I stole that from the other half of the MCU team, Jon Dicus.) We are now taking that idea to the next level by leveraging the collective voices of the MCU community to band together for one night...for one special cause.

On Thursday, November 13, sixteen Music City Unsigned artists (and hopefully many members of our community!) will gather at Rocketown to raise money and awareness for the Nashville Rescue Mission.

It's a night of thanksgiving, two weeks before we celebrate the holiday with friends and family, to support an amazing organization in our community and help them provide for those who are less fortunate than all of us.

Jon Dicus has been partnering with Casey Milleson, a Belmont student interning at Rocketown, to put this whole thing together, and once agin, we are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support by the MCU artist community...for helping us help others.

So, this is your official invitation to join us on November 13 and be part of a special night of music and thanksgiving as we raise our voices, and some much-needed money, for the Nashville Rescue Mission.
