Hello! It's your new favorite artist Darnell Levine!  I'm on a small Starbucks Coffee house tour as we speak.  I've taken it upon myself to book exclusively at Starbucks for two months, and play there only!  Never been done before, yea I know (wink, wink).  

So to catch you up, this past Sunday I played at a Starbucks in Indianapolis, IN.  I soon found out that it had been 1 of the 600 stores Starbucks Corp. would be closing across the country.  All together now..aaaww.  This Starbucks was pretty big in size but I guess the traffic didn't compare to the light bill.  Needless to say it was a good show and good turnout.  There was this woman who thought the show started at 5pm so she got there at the same time I pulled up.  She sat down as a got my gear out and (talking to her friend of the phone) said, "Girl I'm here early but I'm afraid to leave cause I don't wanna lose my good seat girl!"  Flattering for certain considering she didn't know me from diddley squat (not a Bo Diddley reference)...but I couldn't help but laugh b/c she didn't know that she just may be getting a personal one-on-one show if nobody else shows (again this has never been done before so I have no idea if 1 person of 50 people will show).  But it turned out NOT to be a whammy, in fact even kids came out with the parents...nothin' like hearing "Gimme!!" or "Stooooooop." in the middle of "Use What We Got", all in a days work:) I loved it. 

Well today's hot (94 degrees) back in Nashville so I might be in for awhile.  Playing Nashville Starbucks tomorrow night...see you there. Later MCU ... call me;)
