One of the things I love about living in a community of artists and songwriters is that I get to hear new artists and songs all the time. Adam James was one of 61 people who auditioned at the Bluebird a few weeks ago, when I played judge for a day, and stood out from the pack. He amusingly started his audition by telling the audience that "no, this is not a wig. This IS my real hair" (or something to that effect!) Adam is Nashville newbie and just relocated here from Edwardsville, Illinois. He's got a cool Ryan Adams/John Mayer vibe, and is self-proclaimed "no auto-tune." He hasn't recoded an album yet, but you can listen to his acoustic demos and say you knew him when!
